- Peel peas (matar) and wash throughly.put peas in grinder and grind to little grainy texture.use little water if needed to grind but Dont make paste.
- Keep pan on heat.crush khoya with hands and add in pan without oil or ghee. Fry khoya in pan till it's colour changes a little and smell comes out of it. Turn off heat and take out in a bowl.
- Heat ghee in same pan. Add 2-3 green cardamom. When ghee melts add grinded mattar in pan.keep flame medium and fry.peas will release it's water.keep stirring, gradually peas will leaves sides of pan.and ghee comes up.colour of peas also gets darker and smell comes out.
- Now add 1/4 cup water in pan.add sugar and let it melt on medium heat.stir in between to keep texture properly. In 6-8 minutes water dries up and sugar melts in halwa.
- Add khoya in pan and mix well on medium heat.cook for 5 minutes more, add walnut & kaju in pan. Halwa leaves sides of pan and texture becomes shiny, colour also gets to beautiful glistening green. Turn off heat.
- Dish out in platter.garnish with chop walnuts & cashew nuts.serve hot or cold and enjoy with Cookpad.
