- For Halwa
- 4 cups grated beetroot
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 7-8 Cashew nuts chopped
- 1/2 cup Instant khova(mawa)
- For instant khova or Mawa
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup milk powder
- For Garnishing
- As needed Chopped Cashew nuts
- as needed Mawa
Instructions to make Beetroot Halwa
- Heat ghee in a Kadhai. Add grated beetroot. Cook for 10-12 minutes.
- Add milk and cook for another 10-12 minutes or until water evaporates and beetroot is cooked.
- In the meantime let's make khova. Add ghee, milk and milk powder in a Pan.
- Mix well until there are no lumps. Cook until mixture thickens and separate from Pan. It will turn into the grainy texture.
- Now add sugar and mix well. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Turn off the flame and add chopped Cashew nuts and mawa. Mix well.
- Beetroot Halwa is ready. Enjoy!!
