  8. 1/4 teaspoon cardamon/Elaichi

Instructions to make Khajoor Halwa / Dates Halwa

  1. Chop the dates into small pieces and remove the seeds. The purpose to chop the dates is to avoid grinding (as i dont wanted to spoil my mixer or chopper blades).
  2. Heat a kadai or heavy bottom pan. Heat ghee.
  3. Add cardmons. Add the washed dates. Stir it continuously.
  4. Add milk 1/4 cup if required add more (as per desired consistancy). Add more (as per desired consistancy).
  5. Add mawa or malai, stir. When the mixture start leaving the sides of the pan,
  6. Add chopped almonds pistachio cashews and desiccated coconut,(keep some aside for garnishing)mix well.
  7. Remove the pan from heat Garnish it with coconut, chopped almonds and pistachio. Serve hot.
