  4. Keep stirring on Low heat once the Mava turns into a smooth mixture and take off heat
  5. Place the Mava in a bowl
  6. Now place the pan back on heat and add the ghee to melt
  7. Once done, add the gram flour and keep stirring constantly to get a lump free mixture
  8. Add sugar once you see no lumps
  9. The mixture will start to turn liquidy as the sugar mix
  10. Keep stirring constantly as the mixture comes together(this could take a while)
  11. Once you see no bubbles in the mixture,take the pan off heat
  12. Add the cardamom powder and half the nuts
  13. Mix well and layer the mixture well in the greased tray
  14. Sprinkle the remaining nuts on the surface and gently press down with a spatula
  15. While not hot, but slightly warm, cut into barfi pieces and allow to cool completely
  16. Besan Mava barfi are ready to be relished!
  17. Store the leftovers airtight and refrigerated
