- Pressure cook,for 3 whistles. Let the steam escape, before opening the lid. You see the cooked Awlas are segmented.
- Gently pull out awla segments from each & desseed them. Place these awla segments in large vessel.
- Add and mix 1 kg of sugar on awla segments.
- Keep cover for 2 days..in between gently stirring the mixture 2-3 times in a day..so sugar gets dissolved.
- As sugar is completely dissolved.. strain the mixture...to separate soaked awla segments and sugar syrup mixture. Spread awla segments in large flat thali plate.
- Dehydrate them under sun or under fan..for 2-3 days.
- Store in airtight container. Serve,eat Awla candy as mouthfreshner after heavy meal.
