The story is about the experiment of today's recipe which I did with some leftover soaked Soybeans. Was thinking of a pakoda or vada as usual so ended up not making it. Then came up something in mind and started cooking this morning. Was not at all sure what I will end up with, as did not liked that not so good smell which came after grinding it๐Ÿ˜‚ But continued and the result is that drool-worthy image of halwa which came out really well and yummy. Do try this one and you will not regret. Worth it!

  1. 1/4 cup Dry Soyabean
  2. 1/4 cup Sugar
  3. 1 cup Milk
  4. Few Saffron Strands
  5. 3 tbsp Ghee

Instructions to make Soyabeans halwa

  1. Soak the Soybeans overnight. Grind it into a coarse paste and roast in a tbsp of ghee until golden brown and crisp. Same like you do for moong dal halwa.
  2. Once roasted add sugar and fry until sugar starts caramelizing. Then add the milk and saffron strands and cook well until you reach the halwa consistency. Add the remaining ghee, cardamom powder and sliced almonds. Done! Serve hot.
