  4. In a have bottom pan better if you have nonstick pan on the flame add ghee in the pan when hot add grounded dal and on low to medium flame keep on stirring in the beginning dal will stick on the pan scrap it with spatula you are cooking with after few minutes of roasting will stop sticking so don't worry now occasionally you stir it when earthy aroma of dal goes off and you smell nice roasting smell and gives bit golden colour
  5. On the other side in a wak add water and sugar and cook sugar syrup when bit thick add Milk and let it simmer along with sugar syrup when nice boil you can add at this time just a 1/4 tsp of colour it is optional
  6. When dal roasted nicely pour mixture of milk and sugar syrup kee on stirring add cardamom powder mix and stir till water evaporat and give thick consistency of halwa
  7. Garnish with raisin and almonds serve hot
