This is quick version of gajar ka halwa.it is loved by my family so sharing with u all.no condensed milk added.
Ingredients and spices that need to be Make ready to make Gajar ka halwa:
- 9-10 red carrots
- 100 gms mawa(khoya)
- 6 tbsp ghee
- 1 cup dry fruits (mixed as per choice)
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp fresh cream
- 1 spoon poppy seeds (khus khus)
Steps to make Gajar ka halwa
- Wash,peel and grate carrots.
- Heat ghee in heavy bottomed pan.
- Grate khoya too
- Now add grated carrot in ghee and cook on medium flame for 5 mins,adding 2 cardamom broken.
- Now add sugar in carrots and cook till all the moisture gets evaporated which is created due to sugar.(it will take 5 to 7 mins)
- Now add all other indgridients and cook till everything becomes soft and mushy.
- When ghee starts separating means your halwa is ready.
