Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Dry fruits Besan Laddoos:
- 400 GMs besan flour
- 100 GMs ghee melted
- 100 GMs powdered sugar
- 6 crushed cardamoms
- 100 GMs coarsely chopped dry fruits
Steps to make Dry fruits Besan Laddoos
- Dry roast besan on a low flame for 20 mins or until it begins to change colour.
- Add the melted ghee to the besan stirring continuously. Make sure there are no lumps. Continue on low flame only. Otherwise besan will burn quickly.
- Roast the besan after ghee was added for another 20 mins or until you get a nutty fragrance or the besan releases ghee as shown in 2nd pic.
- Now add the crushed cardamoms. Mix well. Continue to stir on low flame until the consistency changes into a lump of besan that doesn’t stick to the pan. Remove from heat at that point and let it cool a bit.
- Once the besan mixture is just warm enough to touch add the coarsely chopped dry fruits and powdered sugar to it. Mix well.
- Apply 1/2 tsp ghee on your palms and roll the besan mixture into 15 medium sized laddoos. Press a cashew on top of each for garnish.
- Useful tip: If it’s hard to form the laddoos you probably added a little too much ghee. Put that in the fridge and cool for 15 mins. Allows the ghee to solidify.
