- 1/4 Tsp Nutmeg powder
- 7-8 strands saffron
- 1/4 cup mixed chopped nuts
Steps to make Banana Halwa
- Dry roast the semolina for 2-3 minutes on a low flame. Once done keep it aside and allow it to cool.
- Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan or kadhayi.
- Add in the chopped nuts, saffron, cardamom powder. Fry it on a low flame.
- You can see a change in colour. At this time add roasted semolina and mashed banana
- Keep roasting till the Semolina and banana becomes light brown in colour.
- Add sugar and milk. Stir continuously till the sugar melts. Cover it with lid and cook for 10 minutes on a low flame.
- After 10 minutes, remove the lid. Give it a nice mix. Add the chopped mix nuts and nutmeg powder. Mix it again and serve it.
- Serve hot and add some more sliced bananas over it.
